Hi, I’m Melody. I’m a freelance creative and poet.
I specialise in helping brands create unique digital experiences for their customers. I love problem-solving and I’m not afraid of challenging the status quo and calling out stuff that doesn't fly in real life.
When I’m not creating copy and campaigns, I’m writing poetry. I sometimes perform my poetry as spoken word. If you don’t care about poetry now is the time to jump to my portfolio.
I’ve recently published my debut poetry book rebirth and what it symbolises for me is a new chapter in my life, an awakening in both spirit and mind.
I really wanted this chapbook to capture my experiences as a queer British-Nigerian woman living in a heteronormative white world. But more than that I also wanted it to speak to any woman who felt they couldn’t tell their own stories because of past versions of themselves.
In rebirth, I embrace my indigenous and spiritual ancestry, my healing, my rage, my resistance in ways I never dared to before. In writing this book I became closer to the parts that needed to be liberated and further from the parts that needed to be shed.
rebirth is a reflection of my spirit face, the true me.
